Where Can I Find Files I Downloaded
In Avast, you'll need to disable both the File and Web Shields found under Preferences > Shields. Once both shields are disabled, you should be able to get the newest version of the launcher.
See Remove Office license files on a Mac for directions on how to check which license you're using and how to reactivate. Can't download the Office for Mac installer. Check to make sure your internet is working on the Mac you're trying to install on. Pause any other downloads you may have active.
- Q: When the file scanning is finished, avast! Comes up with a number of files listed as 'unable to scan', even though I have used a thorough scan. Should I be concerned?
- Avast will run, but will not scan at all. The automatic protection will not start, it gives me an option to start all services, but that does nothing. I have been using Avast religiously for 10 years and never encountered this issue before.

I just went to a chat support for Mojang and was referred here since they said it is probably a bug.
Opened Minecraft earlier today, no problems until I decide to get the update for the new included Java - esque features. The download runtime menu opens up quickly enough, and runs. 59.92 mb download and I have plenty of space since I try to keep my Mac updated as much as possible and I scan it regularly. It only reaches to 59.90 or a little less than the full download before it crashes and restarts multiple times before reporting 'unable to update minecraft native launcher' and quitting altogether. Might be because I'm running it on Mac but haven't had any problems before.
Diagnostic Log for the crash at this link: http://paste.ubuntu.com/12360399/ /avast-cleanup-for-mac-review.html.
Brought up another log in Terminal that I copied and pasted the text to at this link: http://paste.ubuntu.com/12360637/
They said it sounds like a bug, but I'm not a computer expert. Is there any way to fix this?
